So I finally caved and ordered some celestial pearl danios from an online store because my LFS never has them. Big mistake. Paid $60 for 6 fish plus shipping. Three arrived dead, two died within 24 hours, and the last one is looking rough. The packaging was crap, just a thin styrofoam box with no heat pack. When I emailed them, they said 'acclimation issues' and offered a 20% discount on next order. Yeah right.
Anyone else had this happen? I thought going online would be better than the local stores that sell diseased fish, but apparently not. I'm in Australia btw, so maybe it's just our crap import laws making everything worse. Or maybe I'm just unlucky. Either way, back to quarantining every fish for a month I guess.
